To update your status:

  1. On the Personal menu, click Pulse.

  2. In the Activity Feeds sidebar, click one of the following activity feeds:

    • Pulse – All Users

    • Pulse – My Colleagues

    • Pulse – <Your_Name>

  3. Optional Click the Add Shortcut icon to attach a shortcut to a Content Server item or click the Add Document icon to attach a document from your computer.

  4. On the Pulse – <Activity Feed Name> pane, in the Share your status box, type your status update.

     

    Tip

    Tips:

    • The number of characters allowed in a post is indicated in the top right corner of the message box. As you type, this value will decrease to show the number of characters remaining.

    • To bring your post to the attention of a specific user, mention that user by name. For more information about mentioning another user, see To Mention a User in a Post.

     
  5. Optional Do one or more of the following:

    Click Add Shortcut .

    In the Attach Shortcut area, click Browse Content Server.

    In the Select Attachment Item window, navigate to the Content Server item and click Select.

    Attach a document from the local computer

    Click Add Document .

    b.

    In the Attach Document area, click Browse.

    c.

    In the Choose File to Upload window, navigate to the local document and click Open.

  6. Click Update.
