To use Search Filters with Advanced Search:

  1. On the Global Menu Bar, choose Search on the Tools menu.

  2. On the Content Server Advanced Search page, in the Full Text component, and other components you choose, define your search criteria. For details, see To Search Using Advanced Search.

    Search Filters can be customized by your administrator, so the options that appear at your site may differ from the ones discussed in this section. For more information about the Search Filters at your site, contact your administrator.

     
  3. Click the Search button.

  4. On your Search Results page, in the Search Filters panel, under the Date filter, click D (Day), W (Week), M (Month), or Y (Year) and choose a time period to refine your search.

  5. Under other types of Search Filters, select one or more values that include additional restrictions. If available, click the More... or Less... links to expand or reduce the available choices.

  6. Click the Advanced Search link to return to the Advanced Search page.

  7. In the Search Filters component, further refine your search with any other criteria you choose. You can remove a Search Filter by clicking the small x icon beside it.

  8. Click the Search button again. If needed, continue to refine your search until you find the result you are searching for.
